Do you accept insurance?

Verdant Mental Health is not currently in network with any insurance providers, and we accept only private pay. We can provide you with superbills for all services to seek reimbursement. If you are seeking DBT services, we are open to assisting client's seeking single case agreements through their insurance company.

What is a single case agreement?

A Single Case Agreement (SCA) is a specific arrangement between an individual patient and an insurance company, allowing the patient to receive services from a provider who is not in the insurance company's network. In other words, it is an agreement between the insurance company and a healthcare provider for the treatment of a specific patient, even though the provider is not typically in the insurance network.

SCAs are usually negotiated on a case-by-case basis when a patient requires specialized or unique services that are not available within the insurance company's network of providers. In such cases, the insurance company and the out-of-network provider agree on a set rate or payment arrangement for the specific services needed by the patient.

How long does therapy typically last for?

Comprehensive DBT for adults has been proven by research to significantly help client's reduce distress and achieve their goals after 12 months, and after six months for adolescents. We contract with clients on a six to 12-month basis who are enrolled in comprehensive DBT.

For clients enrolled in CBT and ACT, or engaging in couples or family therapy, the course of treatment is determined collaboratively with the client and their provider, at the time of intake. Many studies on CBT support time limited treatment, and many treatment gains can be made within 4-6 months. Therapists will collaborative assess how treatment is progressing with you to consider if you are meeting your goals and determine the effective dose of treatment.

How much does therapy cost?

Our clinic values and believes in transparency. We offer sliding fee scale options based on need and availability. Our set rates are:

Individual Therapy: $200-325/session based on licensure and training level

Group Skills: $150/90 min skills class and $125/75 min skills class. Groups are billed tuition style per module.

Phone Coaching: One 10-min call per week is included in the first three months of DBT treatment, after that, all calls are pro-rated at therapist's hourly rate.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
